Wow - Open Media Network
The Open Media Network looks really exciting. Not having good TV reception / cable / DSS, whatever we watch we either have on disk or download. This looks like a great place not only for educational and news items to watch but also a nice way to collect podcasts. It uses its own form of a peer network, much like BitTorrent. I hope this builds speed and content.

Sedona Airport Elisa and I hiked around
This is an overhead of the Sedona Airport that Elisa and I hiked around. The hike was initially on the east side and I didn't see the airport until you came around the southernmost loop. You can see a dense set of vegetation to the east of the end of the airstrip - there's a fence there protecting some very lush trees. That's about the only place you can see the trail from above.

That's more like it...
But, sorry Mulder, it's not good enough resolution to see a saucer...

Groom what?
Not much to see if you ask me...

Sat maps showing interesting things

At Google Sightseeing there are a collection of snaps from Google Maps of famous and strange things seen from overhead. Fun! Ends up that Google Maps is a lot more accessible than Microsoft's Terraserver if only in user interface (quicker to enter addresses). TerraServer servers up much bigger images.

Note: Wired magazine has a related article: Surprises Lurk in Satellite Snaps

Stuff going on with EricRi. Yeah. Grey-beard geeking it in the Northwest.
